You notice it in the bathroom mirror and freeze.

The veins on the backs of your hands suddenly look sharper than you remember. Darker. More defined. Some seem almost raised beneath the skin. Yesterday, they barely caught your attention. Today, they look so prominent that you find yourself turning your hands over, comparing one side with the other, wondering what changed overnight.

Your first thought may be the most frightening one.

**Is your body trying to tell you something is wrong?**

Those symptoms can sometimes occur with inflammation of a vein, circulation problems, or other conditions that require medical evaluation.
