His scream shattered the dawn.
The man who had slept beside his mother’s grave awoke to a light no living soul should ever have seen. A strange glow surrounded the tomb, soft and almost impossible to describe, radiating across the quiet cemetery as though something beneath the earth had suddenly come alive. It seemed to hum like a distant heartbeat. The air around him felt heavier, his chest tightened, and for one terrifying moment, he wondered if something was trying to cross the boundary between the world of the living and the world of the dead. He could barely breathe as he stared at the light, unable to understand what was happening before his eyes.
He didn’t run. Every instinct inside him screamed that he should flee, yet his feet remained planted beside the grave. He stood there shaking as the glow slowly pulsed brighter, casting an unfamiliar warmth across the stone. The cemetery around him remained completely still. Trees barely moved, birds seemed strangely silent, and nothing else appeared to acknowledge the impossible scene unfolding in front of him.
