Fox News personality Tyrus opens up about the costs of fame and raising six kids in a blended family

These days, more and more families are becoming blended, and many people are learning how to make that dynamic work. But balancing a demanding career with a busy household full of children isn’t always easy.

Few understand this better than Tyrus, a former professional wrestler turned Fox News cohost. Though he’s taken on many tough roles throughout his career, he says the most challenging—and most rewarding—job he’s ever had is being a father to six children.

Tyrus typically keeps his personal life private, but recently, he gave fans a rare look behind the scenes of his life as a parent and media personality. He opened up about how he manages the demands of television alongside raising a large family.

In December 2024, Tyrus and his wife, Ingrid Rinck, brought their children with them to the FOX Nation’s Patriot Awards at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, giving the public a rare glimpse of their blended family.

Together, Tyrus and Ingrid share one daughter, born in 2014. Tyrus also has three children—one son and two daughters—from previous relationships. Ingrid has two older sons, making them a family of eight.

Speaking about the realities of parenting in a blended family, Tyrus said:
“When you have children from different backgrounds, you need to figure it out quickly. You have to step up and take full responsibility. Today, all my kids are well-fed, have safe homes, and can do any activity they choose.”

Tyrus prefers to keep his family out of the public eye, but he’s open about sharing advice and values when it comes to parenting. In his book, he wrote:
“Parenting is tough. We all know that. I try every day to be the best dad I can be. Of course, I fail sometimes—we all do. But we keep trying.”

Interestingly, all of Tyrus’ biological children are athletic, just like him. His daughter, Georgie, began riding horses at a young age and became more serious about it in 2024.

In a proud Instagram post, he shared:
“The best part is seeing her dedication to detail, determination, and the bond she has with her horse… As a father, I couldn’t be prouder. It’s hard to watch my little girl grow up, but she’s becoming a strong young woman. So proud!”

Georgie also plays soccer, though she had to sit out in 2024 after breaking her radius.

Beyond sports, the family also raises farm animals after moving to a farm in New Jersey—an effort Tyrus lovingly calls the “Tyrus-zilla Zoo.” Before relocating, he made sure the children were ready for the responsibility, something they were already familiar with from their time living in Louisiana.

Over the years, Tyrus has brought his children to various events, and family photos from these occasions show a tight-knit, happy household.

At the end of the day, Tyrus and Ingrid are fully committed to being present for their children. He’s said he will always support them, and he raises them to learn from both their own mistakes and the experiences of others.

It’s heartwarming to see the family thriving—and we wish them many more years of happiness and love.
